Re: WRT54GX4

[ Edited ]
I too cannot get the wireless side to connect to the internet. I've tried everything including sending it back to inksys for repair. I do not know what they've done. But it seems like they just sent it back without even looking at it. I have yet to use this  product.

Re: WRT54GX4

For those who have had wireless only issues w/ this router, I found a solution that worked for me.  Hopefully, it will help somebody else.  It's the "Network Density" setting under the "Wireless"->"Advanced Wireless" tab.  The default setting is "low" so I moved it to "medium" and all of sudden, everthing seemed to work better.  My packet loss/speed went from 25% loss/200ms to 2% loss/4ms. This setting apparently increases the transmitting power of the wireless signal.  After somehow noticing that the number of Wireless SSIDs I see in my area grew by 3x-4x in the last few months, I decided to give this a try.

Again, I hope it helps somebody.  I have never had the wired connection drop that some of you mention.

Is that from the router side or the laptop?  I can't find any type of network metrics in the router screens.

Re: WRT54GX4

I have been unable to open a download for my Linksys.  Without taking another look for it.  It is download 1.00.20  My current version is 1.00, I think.

Can someone suggest what the problem is and how to fix it?

Thanks for any help.
