VPN connection fails with WAG325N using Cisco VPN Client 5.0

[ Edited ]
Hi all,
I recently bought a WAG325N. I'm using Cisco Vpn Client 5.00.00.320 for the connection. It uses IPSec/UDP for the tunneling. But I'm not able to connect. First it tries to Contact the Security Gateway 212.xxx.xxx.xxx, some later I'm receiving the message Error 412, The remote peer is no longer respoding. Before I was using another brand without any modifications or configurations. Can anybody help for this.

BR,

Re: VPN connection fails with WAG325N using Cisco VPN Client 5.0

Check the following items:

Security->VPN Passthrough->IPSec Passthrough = ENABLE

Create a new entry under:

Applications&Gaming->Port Range Triggering

(application)    (triggered range)         (forwarded range)
    (name)     (start port) (end port)   (start port) (end port)    (enable)

Cisco VPN       500             500            500            500               X

For me this settings solved the problem. This setting shoul be clearly stated by Linksys on the product manual and on the web site, after all they are supposed to be owned by Cisco!

Best regards

Your tip on >Port Range Triggering for port 500 for the Cisco VPN Client 5.0 worked a treat.
Thanks for posting your tip.
